This is your opportunity to make a difference for you and your family. Come join our team! The Laborer- CDL is responsible for executing hands-on labor tasks and operating commercial vehicles. This position will perform routine fleet upkeep-such as cleaning, fueling, and safety checks-and managing the disposal of waste and recycling materials at designated facilities.
Responsibilities of Position:
Haul trash or recycling materials to disposal sites in compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies
Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections and complete logs
Clean up waste spills and overflows as needed
Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body and ensure cleanliness of truck cab
Ensure all assigned vehicles are fueled, clean, organized, and service-ready
Report maintenance concerns, mechanical issues, or safety hazards promptly
Operate other types of trucks as needed
Complete general labor tasks in the shop, yard, and field environments
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
Conduct road tests with maintenance staff to help diagnose and verify repairs
Perform routine housekeeping and facility upkeep as needed
Support vendor pickups, deliveries, and other operational needs
Perform other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibility:

Self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision
Excellent truck driving/maneuvering skills
Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training Experience & Knowledge Needed for
Position:
General knowledge of truck mechanics preferred
1-2 years CDL truck driving experience preferred
Waste industry experience preferred Physical Requirements in a
Regular Workday:
Continuously lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 20 lbs
Occasionally lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 100 lbs
Continuously working outside in changing temperatures, wet/humid conditions
Continuously working in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matter
Frequently stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling
Frequently climbing and/or balancing
Frequently standing/walking
Occasionally sitting
Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:
Must have at least a valid Class B CDL
Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or able to obtain prior to hire
Must be at least 19 years of age
No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years
Must not have any DUI's or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years
Possible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areas
Exposure to residential and commercial waste
Ability to travel between offices, as required
Ability to work flexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as needed
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Valid driver's license (if applicable)
Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
