Job Description
Outside Landscape Supply Associate Position Summary The Outside Landscape Supply Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service while assisting customers in the supply yard. This role involves loading materials, maintaining inventory, operating equipment safely, and ensuring the yard remains organized, clean, and efficient. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, is dependable, and can perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Greet customers promptly and provide friendly, knowledgeable service. Assist customers in selecting and loading landscape materials such as mulch, rock, gravel, sand, soil, pavers, and other outdoor products. Safely operate forklifts, skid steers, front-end loaders, and other equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe outdoor supply yard. Receive, unload, and stock incoming inventory. Inspect inventory for quality and report shortages or damaged products. Accurately fill customer orders and verify quantities before loading. Assist with inventory counts and yard organization. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Work collaboratively with sales staff, drivers, and other team members. Perform general maintenance duties and other tasks as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in landscaping, construction, building materials, agriculture, or outdoor retail is preferred but not required. Forklift or heavy equipment experience is a plus. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material quantities. Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain. Ability to safely operate loading equipment and work around moving vehicles. Work Schedule Full-time position. Monday through Saturday, with overtime and seasonal hours as needed.
