Description:

Murrey's Disposal, a trusted name in environmental services and a proud member of the Waste Connections family, is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Equipment Operator to join our Transfer Station team in Fife, WA . This is a hands-on, outdoor role where you'll operate heavy equipment to support essential waste management operations that serve the local community.

$25.00 - $26.00 per hour

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, starting between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM (9-11 hour shifts, overtime as needed) If you're looking for a stable, full-time job in Pierce County with great pay, a strong safety culture, and the opportunity to make a real impact, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment including:



Grizzly excavatorSkid steerYard goat (for hosteling trailers)Forklift Load and unload materials efficiently and safely Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform minor maintenance Direct traffic flow within the transfer station to ensure safety Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment Monitor site conditions and report any safety concerns Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals Accurately document equipment usage, incidents, and site conditions Provide courteous and professional service to truck drivers and visitors Qualifications Prior experience operating heavy equipment (required) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Must be able to speak and understand English for safety purposes; Spanish is a plus Ability to work in environments with dust, noise, and odors typical of a transfer station
