A Logistics Specialist plans and manages logistics, including the distribution and transportation of supplies, equipment or materials for a company or organization. Develops order schedules and policies, tracks shipments, coordinates storage and works with suppliers and transportation companies. Implements efficient and cost-effective transportation and distribution systems.
As a Lead Equipment Specialist, you will provide nationwide support for Maintenance Control Center (MCC) customers, vendors and other Fleet personnel on a diverse range of technical, administrative and analytical functions relating to MCC program functions and operations.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience with motor vehicle fleet operations to include: leading vehicle maintenance and/or vehicle repair operations to support mission requirements; negotiating prices with vendors for repair services and/or supplies; coordinating with stakeholders to ensure all required information has been gathered to process vehicle repairs; and conducting analysis of fleet management operations to recommend changes to enhance program efficiency.
