Job Description

This is an international freight forwarding and export operations role - not a truck dispatching or fleet dispatch position.
Job Responsibilities:
International shipment management: book and coordinate inbound and outbound international shipments (ocean FCL/LCL and air) with freight forwarders and carriers; ensure on-time, compliant delivery. Export & customs documentation: prepare, review, and submit export and shipping documents - commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading / air waybills, certificates of origin, and shipper's letters of instruction.
Customs clearance:
coordinate customs entries and clearance with customs brokers and U.S. Customs (CBP); apply Incoterms and HS / tariff classifications correctly.
Export compliance:
support U.S. export compliance and electronic export filing (EEI via AES).
Operations support:
receiving, filing, updating shipment status reports, and coordinating with the warehouse on packaging, labeling, and stock retrieval. Carrier & last-mile coordination: obtain and compare freight rates and arrange final trucking / last-mile delivery as needed - a supporting task, not the focus of the role.
Requirements:
3+ years in international freight forwarding, export/import operations, or international shipping coordination (Required) Hands-on experience with export documentation and customs entry / clearance Working knowledge of ocean and air freight, Incoterms, and HS classification Familiarity with U.S. export compliance / AES filing Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple international shipments and deadlines Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Proficient in
Microsoft Office and QuickBooks Note:
This is not a truck dispatching or domestic fleet dispatch role. Applicants whose experience is primarily truck/load dispatching are not a fit unless they also bring international freight forwarding, customs, and export documentation experience.

$22.00 - $35.00 per hour
