40 hrs/week Available shifts: 7:00-15:30, Wed-Sun 7:00

  • Thurs 15:00-23:30, Tues-Sat 23:00-7:30, Mon-Fri Candidates must: Be available for the entire assigned shift and six-week assignment Be able to start 8/31/2026 Be able to move immediately through the expedited onboarding/compliance process Be available to work onsite with no planned time off during the six-week assignment Have a high school diploma or equivalent Be prepared to step into a fast-paced operational support environment immediately Position Summary The Distribution Technician II will provide dedicated transportation support for Sterile Processing while instrument-processing operations are split between the mobile processing unit, the main hospital, and Spanos Court during the SPD renovation.
The primary purpose of this role is to maintain the timely and reliable movement of contaminated and sterile instruments, case carts, supplies, and vendor trays between processing locations so that surgical schedules and instrument availability are not disrupted. This dedicated transportation support allows Sterile Processing technicians to remain focused on decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and quality assurance responsibilities. Primary Responsibilities Transport contaminated and sterile instruments between the mobile unit, main hospital, Spanos Court, and other designated processing locations. Transport case carts, instruments, supplies, and vendor trays between Sterile Processing and supported locations. Support case cart and instrument delivery activities. Assist with vendor tray movement and tracking. Maintain timely instrument movement to support surgical schedules and case readiness. Follow chain-of-custody and documentation requirements during transport. Coordinate with Sterile Processing, OR/perioperative teams, and other supporting departments. Assist SPD operations as needed to minimize workflow interruptions. Follow established safety, transportation, and departmental workflows. Candidate Profile This is a transportation/logistics support role within Sterile Processing. Candidates should be dependable, comfortable working in a hospital environment, able to move quickly between designated processing locations, and capable of maintaining accurate and timely movement of instruments and case carts throughout the shift.
