Full Job Description About Master Research & Manufacturing:

Master Research & Manufacturing, Inc. (MRM) is an established aerospace and precision manufacturing company specializing in CNC machining and the production of high-quality components for the aerospace and defense industries. We manufacture complex parts and assemblies for major aerospace customers and maintain a strong commitment to quality, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction. We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Planner to join our team and play a key role in coordinating production from purchase order receipt through final inspection and shipment.

Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Planner is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining production plans to ensure customer orders are completed efficiently, accurately, and on schedule. This position works closely with Estimating, Engineering, Programming, Purchasing, Production, Quality, Shipping, and Management to ensure all necessary materials, documentation, outside processing, tooling, programming, inspection, and production resources are available when needed. The ideal candidate has experience in aerospace manufacturing and CNC machining and understands the importance of planning around material lead times, machine capacity, outside processing, inspection requirements, and customer delivery commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

Review new customer purchase orders and released jobs to ensure all requirements are understood and achievable. Develop detailed manufacturing and production plans based on customer requirements, quantities, due dates, available capacity, and manufacturing requirements. Create and maintain accurate job schedules and monitor progress throughout the production cycle. Coordinate material requirements, including raw material availability, customer-furnished material, hardware, and long-lead materials. Coordinate outside processing requirements such as heat treat, plating, coating, grinding, and other special processes. Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure materials and outside services are ordered in time to support production schedules. Work closely with CNC Programming and Engineering to ensure jobs are released to production with the necessary programs, models, drawings, tooling, fixtures, and technical information. Coordinate with Production to establish realistic machine and labor schedules. Monitor work-in-process and identify potential schedule delays before they impact customer delivery dates. Communicate schedule changes, shortages, material delays, and other production constraints to management and affected departments. Review and prioritize jobs based on customer due dates, production requirements, material availability, and shop capacity. Track jobs through machining, outside processing, inspection, assembly, and final shipment. Coordinate with Quality to ensure inspection and FAI requirements are incorporated into the production schedule. Help identify bottlenecks and recommend adjustments to improve workflow and on-time delivery. Maintain accurate planning and scheduling information within the company's ERP/MRP system - JOBBOSS. Review and update job travelers, work orders, routing information, and production schedules as required. Assist with expediting critical jobs and customer-requested schedule changes. Work with management to establish realistic delivery dates during contract review and production planning.

Preferred:

Experience in an AS9100 aerospace manufacturing environment . Experience with CNC milling and turning operations. Experience planning complex, multi-operation aerospace components. Experience with

FAI/AS9102

requirements. Familiarity with GD&T and aerospace specifications. Experience coordinating outside processing and special processes. Experience with JobBOSS or similar ERP/MRP software . Experience working with major aerospace customers or their supplier requirements. Knowledge of CATIA, CAD/CAM, or other manufacturing software is a plus.
