Job Description
Logistics Assistant (224529-14) #OFFICE_INDEED We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in supporting efficient warehouse operations, transportation planning, and procurement activities assisting those in need. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analysis skills, experience with warehouse management systems, and a comprehensive understanding of logistics processes. Key responsibilities include managing inventory control, coordinating shipping and receiving and supporting procurement activities. You will be working in a small team so finding the right person is crucial. Hours Full-time, Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm Location Waipahu, Oahu Pay $25 to $27 an hour Responsibilities Oversee warehouse distribution activities, including stocking, materials handling, and inventory management systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Coordinate transportation management systems (TMS) for freight planning, shipping logistics, and delivery schedules. Support procurement processes by assisting with sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiations, and purchase order creation. Utilize data collection tools such as SQL, Excel data analysis, and Tableau to monitor supply chain performance metrics. Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues in warehouse operations or transportation planning and implement process improvements. Manage shipping & receiving functions, including manual handling, freight documentation, NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) procedures, and trade compliance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on demand planning, production scheduling (MRP), and inventory control initiatives. Assist with transportation planning for international trade regulations and customs compliance. Support the use of ERP systems such as AS400 or warehouse management systems for accurate stock tracking. Qualifications Clean Driver's abstract Proven experience in supply chain operations roles with a focus on logistics management or warehouse experience. Ability to work out of normal office hours from time to time (You will get time off in return), but once in awhile you may need to meet shipments that come early or on a weekend.
