Position Overview The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in executing Marex's over-the-road trucking operations supporting container moves, modular shipments, and project-based cargo. This role is responsible for managing daily spot freight while supporting structured project moves that require detailed coordination, proactive problem-solving, and operational discipline. This is a hands-on execution role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes ownership of results. Key Responsibilities Coordinate domestic over-the-road trucking for containers, modular units, and project freight across multiple lanes and regions. Manage daily spot freight while supporting scheduled project shipments and time-sensitive deliveries. Source and communicate with customers and carriers to secure capacity, negotiate rates, and confirm equipment availability. Track shipments from pickup through delivery, proactively resolving delays, equipment issues, and scheduling conflicts while maintaining a clear line of communication with the customer. Support project logistics planning including logistics planning, load sequencing, delivery scheduling, and coordination with internal operations teams. Maintain accurate shipment documentation, load records, and operational data within internal systems. Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders to provide shipment visibility and execution updates. Identify operational inefficiencies and contribute to process improvements that increase speed, reliability, and performance. Required Qualifications Experience in trucking coordination, freight brokerage, logistics operations, or transportation support roles. Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to multitask at a high level. Ability to operate in high-tempo, execution-driven environments. Strong problem-solving, self-starter mindset. Attention to detail. Email management and strong written communication skills. Preferred Experience with container, flatbed, modular, or project freight. Familiarity with TMS platforms and freight documentation workflows. Exposure to time-critical or project-based transportation operations. Microsoft 365 experience (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive) What Success Looks Like in This Role Freight moves on time.
