Job Description

  • Job Title: Logistics Specialist
  • Job Description
  • The Logistics Specialist will serve as the primary point of contact for outgoing distributions, ensuring the generation of package labels and other necessary documentation. This role involves analyzing, organizing, and formatting data using Microsoft Excel, and managing batch processes across various label software platforms, including FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, and ERP software programs.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Manage outbound sales orders in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Advanced Warehouse, ensuring order accuracy, correct shipping instructions, and timely execution.

+ Validate order data, including item details, quantities, ship-to information, freight terms, and delivery methods for shipping and label generation.

+ Collaborate and communicate with logistics, sales, and production departments, as well as outside vendors, regarding logistics requirements for each project.

+ Run daily reports and maintain shipping records.

+ Ensure data accuracy and integrity by cross-referencing information and performing regular data audits.

+ Coordinate with third-party logistics providers and suppliers to schedule and manage inbound and 3rd party shipments, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to delivery windows.

+ Assist the Logistics Director in special projects as needed.

+ Coordinate and update software systems.

+ Update logistics processes and SOPs for all logistics locations.

+ Ensure all software and workstations are in sync and aligned.

+ Review freight invoices for accuracy, including charges, rates, and terms, ensuring they match purchase orders, sales orders, and contracts.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Essential Skills
  • + Proficiency in logistics, data entry, inventory management, and shipping processes. + Experience with Microsoft Excel and ERP software, specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365 Advanced Warehouse. + Strong organizational and communication skills. + Ability to collaborate with various departments and external vendors.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Familiarity with label software, FedEx Ship Manager, and UPS WorldShip.

  • Work Environment
  • Our workplace is clean, well-lit, and organized, with air conditioning and humidity control. The first shift runs from 6:30 am to 3 pm, with the possibility of working up to 10 hours of overtime per week and occasional Saturday shifts from 6 am to 11 am. If a second shift is needed, hours are Monday-Thursday from 3 pm to 1:30 am, with overtime on Fridays.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $24.

00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
