You must possess excellent people skills, be friendly, a team player, able to take initiative when necessary and carry out all responsibilities in accordance with company policies, core values and applicable laws.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

• Coordinate with import suppliers along with handling documents, incoming logistics of materials.
• Liaise and negotiate with carriers Full Trucks Loads and LTL's
• Keep track of quantity, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
• Plan routes and process shipments, including packing lists and bills of lading
• Organize shipping details with customers and manage shipping requirements
• Assist to improve processes and reduce overall costs of inbound/outbound transportation
• Responsible for ensuring that all documentation is accurate and complete with freight forwarders
• Request quotes for all types of freight
• Coordinate import and export (ocean/air) shipments; arrange LTL shipments

SKILLS / ABILITIES

• Proven working experience in logistics
• Record of successful distribution and logistics management
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Experience utilizing ERP is very helpful.
• Phone experience working with carriers, vendors, and customers
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
• Exceptional sense of priorities and flexibility to react fast to changing requirements
• Must be fluent in English

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION

Associates Degree - Logistics and Warehouse Management or equivalent
