Job Description
This role handles effective communication with customer representatives and employees at various levels within the organization. Responsible for coordinating shipments both domestically and internationally. Obtain shipping quotes Review outgoing shipments and determine best method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. Coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments and any required shipping documentation and invoicing requirements Coordinate with internal teams and request approval prior to shipping. Completes daily shipment out entries in computer system. Distributes to Accounts for filing. Experience using shipping programs such as; UPS, FedEx or DHL. Trace missing or lost shipments, file claims and follow up until resolved. Maintain inventory/records of pending shipments. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications Cooperate with other staff, supervisors and managers. Perform any other duties as reasonably directed. Minimum of 2 years of logistics experience, preferably in a manufacturing facility Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
