What You Will Do:

Under the direction of the Assembly Manager, the Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and performing the day-to-day shipping, receiving, material movement and logistics activities. This position ensures that materials, components and finished products are received, documented, stored, prepared and shipped accurately in accordance with company policies and customer requirements. Coordinate and perform daily shipping and receiving activities. Loads & unloads trucks as necessary, following safety procedures. Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling carriers as required. Performs shipping prep work and prepares necessary documentation including photos. Receives & stores material and prepares necessary receiving documentation and photos. Verify received components against purchase orders, packing slips and report discrepancies. Ensure received materials and components are properly identified, documented, and placed in their designated locations. Maintains organization and cleanliness of all racks including shaft rack. Maintains organization of patterns and their locations. Responsible for maintaining shipping material supplies and cleaning supplies. Assist with identifying opportunities to improve shipping, receiving, storage, and material-handling processes. Complete special projects as assigned. Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Be respectful to co-workers and be part of an environment that fosters teamwork. May be asked to assist in other departments.

Marginal Job Functions :

perform truck runs, scrap runs when asked and may be required to travel for field service. Assists with assembly, sandblasting and balancing when needed.

What We Are Looking For:

Education /

Experience :

Three to five years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience. Must have a high school diploma or GED.

Language Ability :

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, customer specifications, or governmental regulations. Ability to prepare reports, business correspondence, and expense reports. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and other employees of the organization. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, carriers, and other employees of the organization regarding shipping, receiving, material movement, and logistics activities.

Math Ability :

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability :

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills :

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Order processing systems and Database software.

Certificates and Licenses :

Requires a valid driver's license. Must obtain lift equipment certification & OSHA training after hire.

Other Skills and Abilities :

Requires the ability to operate a wide variety of standard business machines, to include a computer and keyboard, job related software, telephone, calculator, Fax machine, and photocopier.
