The Logistics & Material Systems Process Engineer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of material storage and material flow systems throughout the manufacturing facility. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient movement of materials from receiving through production and ultimately to shipping operations.

As needed to support plant launches, benchmarking activities, and implementation projects. Work Environment & Scope The LMS Process Engineer is responsible for evaluating and optimizing all aspects of material handling and logistics operations throughout the manufacturing facility.

Areas of focus include:

Receiving operations Material storage systems Production staging areas Line-side delivery processes Repackaging operations Empty container management Floor space utilization Labor planning and allocation Operating expense optimization Material flow design capacity Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related technical field. Experience designing and implementing material flow systems in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and material handling equipment. Experience with PFEP methodology and material flow analysis. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Pay:

$37.00 - $38.00 per hour
