Job Description

The Foundation Executive Director manages the donor and fundraising programs of the foundation, continuing the existing programs and growing those programs to accommodate the needs of the hospital and community. This position directs and manages all fundraising activities, including grants, events and donor relations to maintain and expand our foundation contributions.
Job Description:
Responsible for board operations, relations, development and education. Develops and executes fundraising events, campaigns to support and promote TVHC's Mission, Vision and Values. Develops the TVHC Foundation Strategic plan. Responsible to build and maintain positive donor relationships with individuals, area businesses and organizations and groups. Coordinates applicable efforts with Hospital departments as support Performs other related duties from time to time as assigned by the TVHCF board, including coordination of an annual audit. Assists with any other duties as assigned. This position reports monthly to both the foundation and hospital boards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Able to communicate effectively in English, with exceptional verbal and written skills. Good interpersonal skills Basic math skills Organizational skills. Basic to intermediate knowledge of computer use, including Word processing and spreadsheet applications. Ability to communicate and connect with donors and potential donors Basic knowledge of marketing concepts such as fundraising campaigns and campaign management. Ability to understand the operations and status of the hospital in sufficient detail to answer donor questions and effectively communicate the value which the hospital provides to the community. Ability to work and communicate with hospital staff to ensure consistent messaging between hospital and the Foundation. Must have prior Executive Director experience in a non-profit.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in developing, managing, and running fund raising activities. Be able to develop new fund-raising activities, and coordinate and manage the existing fundraisers. Experience in establishing and managing donor lists, working directly with donors, and ensuring constant addition to the donor list. CPR/BLS Healthcare Certification Additional languages - Spanish Preferred
