Camp Grady Spruce is located about 90 miles west of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex on 535 acres on the shores of beautiful Possum Kingdom Lake in North Central Texas. PK Lake is one of the clearest lakes in Texas and is known for its dramatic cliffs and beautiful, rolling hillsides. Common outdoor activities include boating, diving, swimming, fishing, and hiking. Camp is home to an abundance of wildlife, and it is common to see white-tailed deer, bobcats, and roadrunners along the trails. This role will monitor branch financials, overseeing monthly operating statements, accounts receivable, accounts payable, journal entries, and deposits. Provides board and campaign support for Camp Grady Spruce, preparing monthly financial reports for board and executive committee meetings. Takes minutes during these meetings and compiles packets for distribution. Offers assistance as needed with the Annual Campaign at camp and participates in Special Events. This individual must professionally handle phone calls, directing them to the appropriate staff member. Additionally, the incumbent will assist members with online registration, oversee the scholarship process, and generate reports upon request. Responsibilities also include aiding bulk mailings, assembling meeting packets, ordering meeting food when necessary, and setting up the office for meetings. This person will provide support to the Executive Director. Tasks involve sending and receiving contracts and agreements, entering groups, and maintaining CORE (CORE is the sales system the Dallas Y uses for membership, programming, and donations). Ensure that all reservations are signed, deposits are received, and totals are paid as specified in the reservation agreement. The incumbent is accountable for ensuring the branch collects over 90% of campaign pledges.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in customer relations, demonstrating the ability to promptly respond to requests while maintaining a keen sense of order and presentation. Proficiency in developing and managing a multi-functional budget is essential. Familiarity with YMCA financial software, CORE, and Microsoft Office is a requirement for this role. The incumbent must acquire and sustain any necessary training or certification relevant to the position.
