The purpose is to provide a year-long in-depth training. This program cultivates future Operations Shift Supervisors through exposure to various departments and develops long-term leadership skills within the Operations Department. The primary function of this role is to provide a learning experience focused on supervisory training. Through diverse work assignments and exposure to various leaders, each candidate will be equipped with the tools needed to lead a team effectively, handle workplace challenges, and contribute to organization goals. The goal is to empower participants to lead by example, uphold a positive and professional work environment, and demonstrate readiness for advancement into a long-term career path. Salary Range :
$26 Hourly Responsibilities Understand all leadership positions within the department. Learn the skills and responsibilities required to directly supervise, support and guide day-to-day activities of the Control Center Specialist (Specialists) handling emergency alarms and calls. Monitor and evaluate inbound and outbound alarm and call traffic through multiple automation platforms, track staffing levels, attendance, and queue assignment to ensure service levels and goals are properly met. Identify key characteristics that contribute to the success of the department and provide appropriate resolution techniques in real-time emergencies and potentially sensitive situations. Collaborate with department management to evaluate performance, strategize improvement plans, and identify deficiencies or areas of opportunity to coordinate appropriate training needs for the Specialists. Assist in executing and completing department specific projects. Promote a positive and supportive working environment that motivates high performance and recognizes staff performance and contributions. Shadow multiple departments and become familiar with inner and outer-department communication. Understand the core function of the supervisor role and its purpose. Perform additional related duties as required and meet all program milestones. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Proficiency of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong time management and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Self-motivated with demonstrated initiative, reliability, and accountability. High level of integrity and ability to manage confidential and sensitive information. Ability to obtain and maintain security licenses in all required states. Qualifications Associate degree or equivalent military experience. 2+ years of relevant customer service experience. Previous management, supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Schedule flexibility, including availability for evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
