Job Description

At Darcie Kent Estate Winery, we believe great wine starts with great people—and runs smoothly thanks to the dedicated team behind the scenes. We're looking for an Operations& Inventory Manager who takes pride in keeping things organized, moving, and running seamlessly across our winery. If you enjoy hands-on work, love creating order out of complexity, and want to play a key role in a dynamic, growing winery, this could be a great fit. About the Role This is a full-time, on-site position based primarily at our Livermore estate. You'll be the person who ensures our wine, supplies, and shipments move efficiently across locations—from warehouse to tasting room to customer doorstep. You'll balance systems and spreadsheets with real-world logistics: coordinating shipments, managing inventory across multiple sites, ordering supplies, and even hopping on a forklift or making local deliveries when needed. Your work will directly support both our direct-to-consumer and local sales channels, helping us deliver exceptional experiences to our customers and partners.
Schedule options:
• Monday-Friday (weekends off), or • Tuesday-Saturday (Sunday & Monday off)
What You'll Do:
Shipping & Fulfillment:
You'll take ownership of getting our wine safely into customers' hands: Coordinate and fulfill all shipping orders, including online and wine club shipments Manage high-volume shipping periods and special shipments (events, media, competitions) Monitor weather conditions and adjust shipping to protect wine quality Track shipments, resolve returns, and ensure a smooth customer experience Maintain shipping supplies and vendor relationships (UPS, GSO, etc.) Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and systems Inventory & Wine Movement You'll keep our inventory accurate, organized, and where it needs to be: Track wine inventory across all locations Move wine between sites using a forklift and company truck Keep tasting room inventory stocked for daily service and events Organize storage for efficiency and accuracy Support inventory counts and reconciliation Supplies & Vendor Coordination You'll make sure our team has everything they need to operate smoothly: Monitor and restock tasting room, packaging, cleaning, and office supplies Order from approved vendors and look for cost-saving opportunities Coordinate deliveries and ensure everything is stored and distributed properly Partner with teams to anticipate needs for events and busy seasons Local Deliveries & Trade Support You'll also support our local presence in the
Tri-Valley:
Deliver small wine orders to local restaurants and retail partners Coordinate pricing and invoicing with internal teams Maintain clear records of deliveries and payments Represent the winery professionally in the community What You Bring Forklift certification and comfort with hands-on operational work Confidence driving a company truck Strong organization skills and attention to detail Ability to juggle multiple priorities and stay on top of systems Clear communication and a proactive mindset Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment Basic proficiency with office tools (and willingness to learn systems like Commerce7 and ShipCompliant) Ability to lift and move cases of wine Experience in operations, logistics, or hospitality Wine industry experience Why This Role Matters This role is at the heart of our winery operations. Pay:
