Tasting Room Support - Variable Hour
The Family of Silver Oak Oakville, CA Job Description:
SUMMARY:
The Tasting Room Support position will support vital elements of the tasting room for daily Retail and Sales Operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Wash and Dry Stemware.
  • Set up and breakdown for tastings, vertical tastings and food and wine pairings.
  • Refill guest water glasses throughout the day.
  • Pull Chef's Boards and Vertical Cheese Boards for reservations.
  • Assist hosts in pulling wine orders for guest purchases.
  • Assist guests by taking wine purchases to their vehicle.
  • Restock clean glasses at all tasting areas.
  • Put away weekly wine order.
  • Keeps Wine Room neat and orderly, ensuring box tops are removed on a case per SKU.
  • Keeps Manager updated on supply backstock; bags, boxes, breadsticks, 6 & 12 pack shippers, etc.
  • Regularly spot sweep all guest service areas.
  • Restock bags and boxes at all register stations.
  • Check restrooms for cleanliness throughout the day including restocking of paper products, wipe counters, and spot mop floors.
  • Build collateral booklets for the different tasting experiences.
  • Check merchandise area of the Tasting Room to restock and fold.
  • Regularly check the MIPA check list for items to clean or projects to do.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1-2 years similar experience preferred.
  • A minimum of 18 years of age preferred.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
  • Perform repetitive motion activities
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Lift 50 lbs.
  • Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Work is mainly performed in a tasting room inside a winery/cellar. The individual is occasionally exposed to cellar temperatures that are cool and fumes or airborne particles relative to normal cellar processes.
  • Busy and distractive open work atmosphere.
