Manage purchasing, pricing strategies, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to maximize profitability while maintaining accurate bookkeeping and payroll records. Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions, and performance evaluations to foster team growth and operational excellence. Implement sales management techniques, monitor retail math metrics, and develop strategies to meet or exceed sales targets. Coordinate shift management, cashiering duties, cash handling procedures, and customer service standards to ensure smooth daily operations. Utilize organizational skills to oversee budgeting processes, inventory control measures, and operational workflows that support store efficiency. Engage in recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates with relevant experience in retail sales management and supervising teams within the retail industry. Demonstrate strong managerial communication skills to motivate staff, resolve conflicts, and promote a collaborative work environment. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and store procedures while maintaining excellent phone etiquette and customer relations. Qualifications Proven management experience in retail store operations or similar environments with supervisory responsibilities. Strong knowledge of retail industry sales techniques, merchandising practices, inventory management, and POS systems. Excellent negotiation skills combined with the ability to lead teams effectively through training & development initiatives. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable for engaging diverse customer bases and team members. Experience in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding new employees, and managing payroll is essential. Familiarity with bookkeeping, cash handling procedures, budgeting processes, and retail math is required. Demonstrated leadership qualities with effective communication skills for managing staff performance and fostering teamwork. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently through excellent time management and organizational skills. Previous assistant manager or managerial experience within the retail industry is preferred; supervisory experience is a plus. Knowledge of inventory control systems, pricing strategies, stock replenishment techniques, and merchandising standards is necessary.
