This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing production across both shifts, developing frontline leaders, improving operational performance, and ensuring production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and in accordance with food safety and quality standards. You will oversee approximately 50-65 production employees and work closely with Production Supervisors, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Logistics, Procurement, and senior leadership. Ensure production schedules, volume targets, quality standards, and safety expectations are achieved. Oversee, coach, and develop Production Supervisors and production leadership. Manage staffing and shift coverage for approximately 50-65 employees . Conduct daily production reviews and ensure effective communication between shifts. Identify production bottlenecks, downtime, waste, and workflow issues. Implement process improvements to increase productivity, efficiency, and operational consistency. Analyze production performance and identify opportunities to reduce costs and minimize waste. Train, coach, mentor, and evaluate production employees and supervisors. Conduct performance reviews and support employee-development initiatives. Partner with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Logistics, and Procurement to achieve production goals. Ensure raw materials and packaging are available to meet production requirements. Coordinate equipment maintenance and preventive repair needs. Maintain accurate documentation for audits, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. Enforce company policies, procedures, food safety requirements, and workplace safety standards. Provide hands-on support on the production floor when needed. Communicate operational challenges, risks, improvements, and results to leadership. What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications 5-10 years of experience in food production or food manufacturing , including experience managing teams. Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Proven experience managing production employees and frontline supervisors. Strong production and operations management skills. Knowledge of OSHA and manufacturing safety requirements. Experience working within established food safety and quality programs. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to identify operational issues and implement practical solutions. Strong leadership, coaching, and employee-development skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management capabilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment. Ability to make independent decisions regarding operational priorities. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual. Experience working in an SQF-certified food manufacturing environment . Work Environment This is an on-site position in Perris, California . The Operations Manager will work both in administrative areas and throughout the production facility. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires regular interaction with production employees and supervisors on the manufacturing floor. The position requires regular standing and walking and the ability to work in food-manufacturing areas with varying temperatures while wearing required PPE and safety footwear. The Operations Manager must also be able to: Stand and walk for extended periods. Work in cold, wet, or hot production environments. Bend, stoop, sit, walk, and perform physical activities associated with production-floor leadership. Lift up to 50 pounds when required. Wear required PPE, including steel-toe safety shoes, hair nets, beard nets when applicable, gloves, and other required protective equipment. Why Us?
