We're looking for someone who wants more than a job pouring wine. D'Agostini Wines is a small, family-owned winery in the Shenandoah Valley, and we're looking for someone to become an important part of the day-to-day experience our customers and wine club members have with us. This role starts in the tasting room, but it doesn't stop there. You'll help take ownership of our tasting room experience, wine club relationships, customer service, DTC operations and winery events. Over time, we'd love for the right person to grow into a larger management role and become someone we can trust to help lead this side of the business. We can teach you about wine. What You'll Own Creating a warm, approachable tasting experience for everyone who walks through our doors Building real relationships with our regular customers and wine club members Helping manage wine club accounts, releases, pickups, shipments and member requests Following through on customer questions, orders and issues rather than simply passing them along Supporting online orders, fulfillment, inventory, merchandising and other DTC operations Helping plan and execute wine club parties, Backyard Nights and other winery events Keeping the tasting room organized, stocked and ready for service Looking for ways to make the guest and member experience better Learning our systems and business well enough to take increasing ownership over time The Person We're Looking For You may already come from wine, hospitality, restaurants, retail, events or customer service — but you don't have to. Wine knowledge is a plus, not a requirement. We care much more about how you work. You're the person who notices what needs to be done and does it. You remember customers. You follow through. You're comfortable talking with strangers, but you're just as comfortable sitting down at a computer to solve a problem or work through a customer account. You can move between a busy Saturday tasting room, a club member phone call, event setup and administrative work without needing every next step handed to you. You like being part of a small team where your contribution is visible and where taking initiative is appreciated. And ideally, you're looking for somewhere you can stay, learn and grow rather than simply picking up a few shifts. What This Job Really Looks Like Some days are very guest-facing. You may spend most of your shift pouring wine, talking with customers, answering questions and helping people choose bottles to take home. Other days may involve processing orders, calling a club member, preparing for an event, organizing inventory, troubleshooting an account or helping us improve the way something gets done. And because we're a small winery, there are also tables to wipe down, boxes to move, glasses to wash and events to clean up after. Everyone pitches in. This is probably not the right position for someone looking only for a casual weekend tasting-room job. It is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hospitality but also wants responsibility, variety and the chance to become an important part of a growing small business. Growth We're intentionally hiring this position with the future in mind. As you learn our customers, systems, wine club and day-to-day operations, we want to give you greater ownership. For the right person, there is a real opportunity for this role to develop into a tasting room/DTC management position. That growth won't happen simply because someone has been here for a certain amount of time. It will come from demonstrating reliability, initiative, good judgment and the ability to take care of both our customers and the business. Schedule This position will average approximately 30-40 hours per week . Weekend availability is required, as weekends are an important part of our tasting room business. Some evenings and extended hours will also be required for winery events. The role includes a combination of tasting room shifts and dedicated time for wine club, DTC, event and administrative responsibilities.
