Fast -growing luxury vacation rental company redefining high-end hospitality across Los Angeles, Malibu, Venice, Hawaii, and Palm Springs. Our portfolio includes Hollywood Hills homes with jetliner views, beachfront residences, expansive Malibu estates, and other distinctive luxury properties. Unlike traditional property management companies, many of our homes are self-operated, giving us greater control over the guest experience, property standards, design, and overall brand. We move quickly, continuously improve, and are building an operational platform designed to scale. We are looking for a Director of Operations who wants to play a key role in building that platform with us. You are not simply managing an existing operation. You will help shape how the company operates, grows, and performs. We value ownership, transparency, creativity, accountability, and strong relationships. The Role As Director of Operations, you will be a core member of the leadership team, responsible for building, scaling, and continuously improving the operational infrastructure of Oraklus. You will work closely with the CEO and leadership team to manage people, improve systems, solve complex operational challenges, control costs, elevate the guest experience, and support the company's continued expansion. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who is proactive, highly accountable, adaptable, solutions-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Design, implement, document, and continuously improve company-wide operational systems, processes, and SOPs Establish clear and measurable KPIs across operational departments, review performance weekly, and hold managers and team members accountable for results Lead, develop, and manage the operations team while creating a strong culture of ownership and accountability Protect and continuously elevate the guest experience across the entire portfolio Oversee property-level profitability, operating expenses, labor costs, vendor spend, budgets, forecasting, owner expenses, and operational P&Ls Hire, onboard, train, and develop high-performing team members Serve as the escalation point for complex guest, property, team, and operational issues Support the acquisition, onboarding, launch, and stabilization of new properties Support expansion into new domestic and international markets Oversee property furnishing, setup, maintenance, inspections, and readiness standards Collaborate with marketing and revenue teams to improve property performance and brand positioning Lead or support events, partnerships, and special activations Lead weekly operational and performance meetings with clear goals, ownership, deadlines, and follow-through Source, negotiate with, and manage vendors and strategic partners Oversee property registrations, permits, insurance requirements, and operational compliance Identify operational weaknesses before they become major problems and implement long-term solutions Build scalable systems that allow Oraklus to grow without sacrificing quality or profitability What We're Looking For Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in vacation rentals, hospitality, or a closely related operational environment Proven experience managing teams and holding people accountable for measurable results Strong understanding of hospitality operations and guest experience Strong financial and operational mindset, including experience managing budgets, costs, and profitability Exceptional organizational, communication, and decision-making skills Ability to build processes and systems—not simply follow existing ones Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in a fast-moving startup environment Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions independently High level of ownership, urgency, and follow-through Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution High energy, reliability, and a genuine commitment to building a high-performing team Who Will Succeed in This Role This position is best suited for someone who sees a problem and takes ownership of solving it.
