ABOUT THE CANDIDATE / ROLE
Tradewind Aviation is looking for a full-time Operations Supervisor to be based in Oxford, CT. The Operations Supervisor will be enthusiastic about applying their skills towards maintaining and improving the overall performance of the Operations team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional service for all Tradewind clients through innovative thoughts and ideas to ensure ongoing improved performance and overall operational success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Promote and contribute to a positive and healthy work environment. Maintain a culture of total client service, focused on anticipating client needs and exceeding their expectations. Ensure that department and organization goals are being met. Assist in conducting interviews with candidates. Training in new employees. Evaluate team performance and provide feedback through biweekly meetings. Coaching team members on current SOPs. Promote the safe release of Part 91 and 135 flights. Delegate assignments to ensure maximum productivity and completion of tasks. Coverage of Scheduling/Dispatch roles during PTO. Run daily operations meetings and coordinate follow up tasks. Interface with other departments to ensure SOP compliance. Anticipate future issues and addressing them expeditiously. Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of high school graduation; college degree preferred or relevant aviation operations experience of at least three years, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of computer software applications in word processing and spreadsheets including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook. Strong communication and organizational skills. Strong multi-tasking capability. Attention to detail. Problem solving skills. Demonstrate consistent high level of interpersonal skills. FAA Dispatch license preferred.
