Job Description

About the Role As a Winter Operations Lead, you will take full ownership of your assigned commercial route, ensuring that properties remain safe and accessible during severe weather. You will leverage your expertise in heavy equipment operation and team coordination to deliver efficient snow and ice management outcomes. Responsibilities Direct field operations for a dedicated route, ensuring all sites meet high-quality service standards. Coordinate and supervise equipment operators and laborers to maximize productivity during active storm events. Execute precise plowing, salting, and de-icing procedures using specialized machinery like skid steers, loaders, and plow trucks. Maintain clear, real-time communication with dispatch to report progress, equipment status, and site conditions. Ensure all team members adhere to rigorous safety protocols while navigating challenging winter environments. Document service completion and report any site-specific issues or maintenance needs immediately. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in snow and ice management. Proven background in a supervisory or crew lead capacity. Proficiency in operating plow trucks, salt spreaders, and heavy snow removal equipment. Valid driver's license with a clean record and ability to operate non-CDL medium-duty vehicles. High level of reliability and responsiveness to urgent, on-call scheduling requirements. Physical capability to perform manual labor in extreme weather, including lifting up to 70 lbs. Preferred Skills Experience managing complex commercial routes independently. Strong problem-solving skills for adapting to changing weather conditions in real-time. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively without constant oversight.
