A Field Operations Manager is responsible for field operations of a company or organization, usually installing, repairing or maintaining equipment or services in the field, often outdoors. May supervise field technicians and operatives. Assists in developing regional business plans and strategies. Helps manage budget and expenditures. Ensures quality and technical expertise required for field work are met.

General Accountabilities Under general supervision of the Operational Manager, this position supervises and coordinates activities of landscape, design build and snow workers. Coordinating scheduled work with Account managers. Safety-Monthly tailgate meetings, onsite training as needed, and onboarding/new hire training with employees. Training, leading, motivating, and evaluating performance of crew team members Daily operations management of maintenance crews, providing direction, making site visits and managing production. Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met. Assign work to employees, based on material or worker requirements of specific jobs. Communicate and coordinate equipment repairs and utilization. Review production reports and provide feedback to account managers. Provide world class customer service and team member support. Ensure that company and production standards are met. Responsible of inventory yard management and inventory count. Snow service management. Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures. Estimate material or worker requirements to complete jobs. Supervise, coordinate, or schedule the activities of laborers. Coordinate work activities with other construction project activities. Order or requisition materials or supplies. Reading & updating landscape plans and construction drawings for field use Locate, measure, and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment, using measuring and marking equipment. Record information such as personnel, production, or operational data on specified forms or reports. •The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
Job Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Horticulture Degree preferred. Possesses a valid driver's license and must be insurable on company's insurance policy. Have a clean criminal record
Experience:
5-7 years of related experience. Preferred 5+ years of experience managing and leading team. Proficient in basic Microsoft Software- Outlook, Excel, Word. Bi-Lingual Spanish/English Required. Ability to interpret blueprints. Skills Effective verbal and written communication Critical thinking Problem solving Time management Management of personnel resources Experience with landscape, irrigation, pesticide and herbicide techniques Strong knowledge of tools, machinery, and equipment Ability to prioritize and mulit-task in a fast-paced environment Ability to communicate in a professional and courteous manner. Have a clean criminal record. Safety minded. Possesses a valid driver's license (CDL a plus) and must be insurable on company's insurance policy.
