full-time Position Summary The Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting the accounting department by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with routine accounting activities. This role ensures timely and accurate processing of financial information while adhering to company policies and accounting standards. Key Responsibilities Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Enter financial data into accounting systems accurately and efficiently. Prepare and post journal entries as directed. Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts. Review invoices for accuracy, coding, approvals, and supporting documentation. Process vendor payments and customer receipts. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. Maintain organized accounting files and records. Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and vendor inquiries. Generate reports and spreadsheets for management review. Support audits by providing requested documentation and schedules. Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred. 0-2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical experience. Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications. Experience with accounting software preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to handle confidential information professionally. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Basic mathematical and analytical skills. Team-oriented with a willingness to learn.
