About Us We are Chicagoland's premier custom outdoor living builder and the top-performing franchisee in a national brand network. We build over 250 high-end projects each year—specializing in custom composite decks, paver patios, screen porches, and outdoor living spaces.
The Role:
What You'll Do As our Field Superintendent, you live in the field—not behind a desk. You will be the primary authority across 8-12 active job sites, managing our 8-10 in-house W2 carpentry crews and 1099 subcontractor teams. Your focus is 100% on Quality Control, Crew Execution, Site Safety, and Client fulfillment for our short cycle projects. Our average job is 8 days.
Crew & Sub Management:
Direct daily field activities for internal carpentry crews and specialty trade subcontractors (hardscaping, masonry, electrical).
Quality Control:
Conduct daily site audits to ensure framing, ledger attachment, paver compaction, and finish trim strictly meet plans and company standards.
Municipal Inspections:
Prepare sites for village building inspectors (footings, framing, final walkthroughs) across various Chicagoland suburbs.
Logistics & Staging:
Verify material drops on-site, manage yard staging, catch short-shipments early, and eliminate job-site waste or downtime.
Job Site Safety:
Enforce OSHA protocols, fall protection, tool safety, and clean job sites every single day.
Homeowner Liaison:
Address technical questions from homeowners on-site calmly and professionally, protecting the customer experience while keeping builds on schedule. Who You Are (Requirements) 5+ years of hands-on field supervision in residential carpentry, high-end hardscaping, outdoor living, exterior remodeling, or homebuilding.
Deep Code & Build Knowledge:
Expert understanding of local Chicagoland suburban building codes (IRC), deck framing, helical piers, footing depths, ledger specs, and hardscape base preparation.
High-Volume Velocity:
Proven track record of managing multiple short-cycle builds (1
  • to 3-week durations) concurrently.
Field Stamina:
Comfortable driving between job sites, auditing builds, and working outdoors in all Chicago weather conditions.
Communication Skills:
Strong leadership presence with crew members, subcontractors, and homeowners. Bilingual (English / Spanish) capability is a major plus. Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record. Why Join Us?
