Mission Critical Build What Matters. Lead From the Front. Travel Nationwide. GBA Builders is seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to join our growing Mission Critical team. This role is responsible for leading field operations on complex, fast-paced projects such as data centers and telecom facilities. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who takes ownership of the jobsite, prioritizes safety and quality, and builds strong relationships with project partners. This position requires regular travel, primarily throughout the Midwest, with occasional projects on either coast. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all day-to-day field operations for mission critical construction projects. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and onsite personnel. Maintain a strong Safety First culture and ensure compliance with all safety regulations. Collaborate with project managers, clients, designers, and inspectors to drive project success. Implement and monitor quality control and quality assurance programs. Develop and maintain project schedules, including short-term look-ahead schedules. Review construction documents, shop drawings, product data, and test reports. Coordinate and supervise M.O.P. (Methods of Procedure) planning and execution. Participate in preconstruction planning and review estimates for site logistics and sequencing. Maintain daily reports, weekly updates, and jobsite photo documentation. Proactively identify issues and provide solutions to maintain schedule and budget. Qualifications Degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent industry experience. Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction field supervision or superintendent roles. Mission critical, data center, or telecom facility experience strongly preferred. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in MS Office and MS Project or similar scheduling software. Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently. Willingness and ability to travel as project needs require to support field operations. Operating a motor vehicle on behalf of the company as an essential function of the role. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
