Job Description
MAIN PURPOSE
To lead and support one of four operations team employees in executing daily mining activities safely, efficiently, and to plan. Supervisors at Eagle set the tone for safety, teamwork, and performance. Guiding, coaching, and supporting their employees to achieve results while maintaining a positive, respectful workplace. They are the visible link between leadership intent and field execution, ensuring operational excellence through care, consistency, and communication. Mill operations will be carried out year-round, 24 hours per day, pausing only for necessary maintenance downtime.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES
Lead by example, demonstrating commitment to safety, respect, integrity, and excellence. Communicate daily goals, expectations, and changes clearly to the employees. Encourage open communication, active involvement, and idea sharing. Identify hazards and act immediately to maintain a safe work environment. Provide timely feedback, recognition, and coaching to support employee growth. Promote accountability and ownership for safe, high-quality work. Support shift handovers and ensure company communications are passed down. Visible and engaged in the field. Responsible for making the right decisions under pressure, and at difficult times to ensure zero harm to people's health and safety, and to the environment Be the first point of reference for all HSEC related questions, issues, or concerns among the operating crew. Act as the senior leader on-site during night and weekend shifts Address minor maintenance items as they are encountered, and communicate major maintenance needs through SAP and verbally to the maintenance department Improve the skill set of all operators on the crew through coaching and communication Regular engagement with members of crews to dissolve potential conflicts before they escalate Engage with operations and maintenance on a regular basis through HSEC Interactions Demonstrate Eagle HSEC leadership to contractors while they are on site at the mill Facilitate training of operators where required Develop testing modules and refresher training to continually improve qualified operators' skills Perform other duties as assignedEDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Ten (10) or more years of mill operations experience preferred Must have a firmly demonstrated commitment to safety Experience with large crews of people with various levels of expertise preferredKEY PERSONAL COMPETENCIES
