Job Description

Apply Crewing Coordinator Location North West Job Type Permanent Salary Competitive depending on experience plus benefits This is an excellent opportunity to join a global shipping company based in Liverpool. The Crewing Coordinator is responsible for the effective planning, coordination, and administration of crew assignments across the company's fleet. The role ensures that all vessels are staffed with suitably qualified, competent, and medically fit personnel while maintaining compliance with maritime regulations, company procedures, and client requirements. Working closely with Masters, Marine Operations, HR, and payroll, the Crewing Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining operational continuity, supporting crew welfare, and ensuring efficient crew logistics. Responsibilities Coordinate crew rotations for all vessels to ensure uninterrupted operations. Maintain accurate crew schedules, leave plans, and relief requirements. Maintain accurate records of all crew qualifications, certificates of competency, medical certificates, and mandatory training. Ensure all crew members remain compliant with UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) requirements, STCW regulations, and company policies Assist with the recruitment and selection of seafarers. Coordinate pre-employment checks, right-to-work documentation, references, and medical examinations. Arrange travel, accommodation, and transport for crew joining and leaving vessels. Manage travel bookings in line with company procedures and budgets. Requirements Previous experience in a crewing, marine operations, or maritime administration role. Knowledge of UK maritime legislation, STCW requirements, and MCA certification. Experience coordinating crew rotas in a 24/7 operational environment. Excellent organisational and planning skills. Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
