You can pass a survey and still have operational problems underneath the surface. That's what makes leading a senior living community difficult. At Nagel Assisted Living, we're looking for an experienced Minnesota LALD who understands how all the pieces fit together and knows how to keep them moving in the right direction. We're Looking for an Operator This isn't a position focused on one department. You'll have responsibility for the overall performance of an Assisted Living and Memory Care community , including: Occupancy and growth Employee recruitment and retention Department leadership and accountability Resident and family satisfaction Labor and staffing Budgets and financial performance Clinical partnership Regulatory compliance and survey readiness Overall community culture The strongest Community Directors understand that these areas aren't separate. They affect each other every day. High turnover affects resident experience. Poor leadership affects retention. Occupancy affects financial performance. Weak processes create compliance risk. Your job is to see the whole operation. What are residents and families telling us? Which department needs more leadership? Where could our next survey vulnerability be? And what are we doing about it? You'll work closely with department leaders to establish expectations, review performance, solve problems, and make sure accountability doesn't stop at the Community Director's office. What We're Looking For Active Minnesota Licensed Assisted Living Director (LALD) license Executive Director, Housing Director, Administrator, Community Director, or comparable senior living leadership experience Strong Assisted Living and/or Memory Care background Knowledge of Minnesota Assisted Living regulations and surveys Experience managing occupancy, budgets, labor, staffing, and financial performance Proven ability to recruit, retain, coach, and develop leaders Strong resident and family relationship skills Ability to identify operational problems and drive measurable improvement Can You Make the Whole Community Better? We're looking for someone who can walk into a community, understand the people, the numbers, the residents, and the operation , identify where performance can improve, and bring the right people together to make it happen.
