Job Description

Crisis Clean Team is a purpose-built company. We exist to help people through situations that can feel overwhelming, embarrassing, complicated, or impossible to fix. We are looking for a Field Operations Manager who measures a good week by the lives changed, the problems solved, and the work they are proud to put their name on, not by the hours it took to get there. This is a highly hands-on leadership role for someone who wants to be close to the work. You may start your morning meeting a client for a consultation, spend the middle of your day working alongside a team on a challenging project, and finish the afternoon stopping at another job to check progress, answer questions, coach a supervisor, or make sure the final result meets our standards. You won't lead from behind a desk. You'll lead from the field. What You'll Own As a Field Operations Manager, you will become the operational leader for an assigned group of services. You'll develop deep expertise in those services and own the quality, execution, team performance, and client experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead assigned projects to a successful completion Spend significant time in the field actively working alongside technicians and supervisors Travel between active projects to evaluate progress, quality, efficiency, safety, and client satisfaction Conduct client consultations within your assigned service categories and help determine the appropriate scope and approach Serve as a knowledgeable, reassuring point of contact for clients navigating difficult or unfamiliar circumstances Answer questions, explain processes, set expectations, and bring confidence and peace of mind throughout the project Lead, coach, support, and hold field supervisors accountable for their teams and job outcomes Identify problems early and take ownership of solving them before they affect the client or final result Ensure teams have the right staffing, equipment, supplies, training, and direction to execute successfully Maintain exceptional standards for safety, professionalism, documentation, communication, and quality Perform final quality reviews and ensure work is truly complete before a project is considered finished Work closely with company leadership and operations to continuously improve how our services are delivered Help train and develop employees within your service areas and build teams capable of consistently delivering exceptional work Step in wherever needed The Standard "Good enough" isn't our standard. The person in this role ultimately owns the outcome of the projects under their leadership. That means noticing the details other people miss, asking one more question, making one more walkthrough, and being willing to correct something before a client ever has to ask. We want our clients to feel that we cared about their home, their situation, and their outcome as much as they did. 110% satisfaction isn't a slogan here. It's the expectation. Who Will Thrive Here You may be a great fit if you are someone who: Naturally takes ownership instead of waiting to be told what to do Is happiest when you're moving, solving problems, and working with people Can comfortably move between physical field work, leadership, client conversations, and operational decision-making Has exceptionally high standards and notices details Can lead with both compassion and accountability Remains calm when situations are emotional, messy, complicated, or unpredictable Understands that vulnerable clients sometimes need patience and reassurance just as much as they need the physical work completed Doesn't believe leadership puts you above the work Can coach a struggling employee, reassure an overwhelmed client, troubleshoot a job, and jump in beside the crew when necessary Thinks in terms of "we" rather than "I" Takes pride in building people, improving processes, and leaving things better than they found them Wants meaningful responsibility and the autonomy that comes with earning trust What We're Looking For Previous leadership or management experience in a hands-on, field-based environment Experience supervising employees and holding teams accountable for quality and performance Strong client communication and interpersonal skills Excellent judgment and problem-solving ability Strong organizational skills with the ability to oversee multiple active projects Comfortable working in physically demanding and sometimes challenging environments Willingness to complete specialized training and certifications required for assigned service categories Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to travel to job sites throughout Minnesota, which sometimes includes overnight travel Ability to meet the physical requirements of field work and wear required PPE Experience in restoration, environmental services, healthcare, EMS, public safety, construction, specialty cleaning, property services, or another hands-on service industry is valuable, but the right leadership mindset matters just as much Prior experience in sales is a plus This Role Probably Isn't for You If... You're looking for a traditional Monday-through-Friday management position where your primary job is answering emails, attending meetings, and checking on employees from an office. Our work is too important for disconnected leadership. We need someone who wants to know the people doing the work, understand the jobs firsthand, see the challenges for themselves, and take personal responsibility for getting the outcome right. Why Crisis Clean Team Our clients often call us during moments they never expected to face. A home has become overwhelming. Someone is at risk of losing their housing. A family is dealing with an incredibly difficult situation. A property needs specialized environmental correction. Someone simply doesn't know where to begin. We get to be the people who walk in and say, "We can help." That responsibility matters to us. If you're looking for a leadership role where you can build teams, solve complicated problems, work with your hands, develop specialized expertise, and actually see the difference your work makes in someone's life, we'd love to meet you.
