Job Description

Overview:
INTUS USA, a sister company of INTUS Smartcities, is seeking an experienced Senior Utility Locator to support and lead utility locating efforts on municipal and public utility projects. This role requires advanced locating expertise, leadership capability, and experience working on contracts with multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive utility locating for all utility types, including municipal services and public utilities. Lead and manage field crews ranging from 5-20 personnel. Plan daily field activities, ensure safety compliance, and maintain production quality. Interpret utility records and coordinate with municipalities, utility owners, and project teams. Apply Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) concepts in field operations and coordination. Produce accurate field documentation including sketches, notes, and digital records. Serve as field lead and primary point of contact for assigned projects. Support onboarding, mentoring, and performance development of junior locators.
Required Qualifications:
3-10+ years of experience in utility locating. Demonstrated exposure to Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE). Proven ability to locate all utilities, including public and municipal systems. Leadership experience managing teams of 5-20 people. Experience running or supporting work under contract (scope, schedule, and coordination). Strong communication and organizational skills. Valid driver's license and ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
Preferred:
Experience with utility mapping and data capture workflows. Familiarity with complex or urban utility corridors. Safety certifications relevant to utility locating and field operations.
