Operations Manager - Vacation Rental & Property Services Confidential Employer | Myrtle Beach Area, SC A growing vacation rental and property management company in the Myrtle Beach area is seeking an experienced, highly organized Operations Manager to oversee all field operations. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for ensuring that properties are clean, well maintained, properly inspected, fully stocked, and consistently prepared to meet company standards. The Operations Manager will lead the teams responsible for housekeeping, maintenance, property inspections, and warehouse/inventory operations and will serve as the primary point of accountability for the company's field operations. We are looking for someone who doesn't simply identify problems, but takes ownership of them and sees them through to resolution. Key Responsibilities Field Operations Leadership Oversee the daily operation of housekeeping, maintenance, inspections, and warehouse/inventory functions Establish daily priorities and ensure work is assigned, completed, documented, and followed through Coordinate field operations during high-volume arrival and departure days Monitor staffing and workloads and adjust resources as operational needs change Ensure departments work together effectively rather than operating independently Housekeeping & Property Readiness Oversee housekeeping employees and outside cleaning vendors Ensure homes are cleaned, inspected, and guest-ready prior to arrival Monitor cleaning quality and address recurring performance issues Coordinate corrective cleaning when properties do not meet established standards Maintain appropriate linen, amenity, and supply levels Maintenance Oversee routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance Prioritize maintenance requests based on urgency and guest/homeowner impact Coordinate internal maintenance personnel and outside vendors Ensure work orders are properly documented and completed in a timely manner Follow through on unresolved maintenance issues until completion Identify recurring property issues and recommend proactive solutions Inspections & Quality Control Oversee property inspections and quality-control processes Ensure deficiencies are documented, assigned, corrected, and verified Maintain consistent company standards across the portfolio Identify trends in guest complaints, property condition, housekeeping, and maintenance and implement corrective action Warehouse & Inventory Oversee organization and operation of the company warehouse Maintain appropriate inventory levels for linens, amenities, maintenance supplies, and property-related materials Establish inventory controls and accountability Ensure field personnel have the materials necessary to perform their jobs efficiently Team Leadership & Accountability Lead, coach, and hold field employees accountable for performance and company standards Establish clear expectations and follow-up procedures Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management Address performance problems promptly and professionally Build a culture of ownership, urgency, teamwork, and attention to detail What We're Looking For The successful candidate will be someone who is comfortable managing a fast-moving operation where priorities can change quickly. You may be a strong fit if you: Have previous operations, property management, hospitality, facilities, maintenance, or vacation rental management experience Have successfully managed multiple departments or field teams Are exceptionally organized and capable of managing numerous priorities simultaneously Know how to delegate while still maintaining accountability Are comfortable making decisions and solving problems without requiring constant direction Have strong leadership and communication skills Understand that follow-through is just as important as identifying the problem Can remain calm and decisive when operational challenges arise Are comfortable using technology, work-order systems, scheduling systems, and mobile applications Have high standards and are willing to respectfully hold others to those standards Vacation rental or hospitality experience is strongly preferred, but we will consider candidates from other operationally intensive industries who have demonstrated strong leadership and organizational ability. What Success Looks Like Success in this position means: Properties are ready when guests arrive. Maintenance issues don't fall through the cracks. Inspections result in corrective action. The warehouse is organized and properly stocked. Employees understand what is expected of them. Problems are addressed before they become emergencies. And senior leadership does not have to personally manage routine field operations. This position requires someone who is willing to be both a leader and a hands-on operator . During busy periods, everyone helps get the job done. Qualifications Prior supervisory or operations management experience required Experience managing multiple employees, vendors, or operational functions Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working with operational software and technology Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work weekends during the busy season and respond to urgent operational situations when necessary Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
