We exceed our customers' expectations each and every interaction and use the Tasting Room as a platform for customers to fall in love with the brand and beer. Our Tasting Room ABC Shift Managers provide leadership and direction for the execution of all activities related to daily operations of the Tasting Room during a shift. Shift Manager's responsibilities include assisting customers, serving beers, overseeing Beer Guides, counting the closing till, inventory, and ensuring that each and every guest has a wonderful experience. Due to the nature of the Tasting Room, our managers need to make quick decisions while keeping the best interest of the Tasting Room in mind at all times.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead by example to deliver exceptional customer service and motivate others to do the same. Create a welcoming, fun atmosphere (lighting, music, temperature) for all guests. Build relationships with guests through beer recommendations, knowledge of the facility, and being attentive. Maintain clean and orderly tasting room. Encourage an atmosphere of teamwork and team culture for positive employee relation. Assigning/delegating tasks as appropriate to team members. Manage daily business functions including opening and closing procedures, cash accounting and reporting. Staying up to date with large and small scale events in the Tasting Room and being ready to greet hosts/assist in setting up spaces. Professionally handle situations where a customer has been overserved or appears intoxicated and may need to be cut off or asked to leave the premise without escalating the incident or causing a scene. Assist in coaching and training team members Have a superior understanding of the POS system and be able to troubleshoot issues that may occur.Requirements:
Nights and Weekends, 2-3 shifts per week availability Must be 21 years of age or older. High School Diploma or GED required. Management experience encouraged, but not required Minimum 2 years hospitality experience, brewery or otherwise. Cicerone Certification (can be acquired within 30 days of start date) Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Display a proactive, team-focused attitude. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong attention to detail is required. Prior beer knowledge is strongly encouraged, but not required. An interest in learning about beer is a must. Ability to respond to common inquiries from co-workers, management and guests. Ability to communicate and present information effectively to all levels of employees and management.Physical Requirements:
