Great Beer. Craft Spirits. Memorable Experiences. At New Realm Brewing Co., we don't just serve food and drinks — we create experiences. Our Virginia Beach location is a large, high-energy restaurant, brewery, bar, beer garden, and private-event destination. We're looking for an experienced Taproom Manager who loves hospitality, knows how to lead a team, and isn't afraid to jump into the action. This is a hands-on leadership position. You'll spend your time on the floor coaching employees, connecting with guests, managing shifts, solving problems, and helping the entire operation run successfully. If you're the kind of manager who notices what needs to be done and takes ownership of it, we want to meet you. What You'll Do Lead day-to-day restaurant and taproom operations Manage opening and closing shifts and ensure operational standards are met Coach, train, develop, and motivate FOH team members Create an environment where great hospitality is the expectation Maintain a strong presence on the floor during service Engage with guests and quickly resolve concerns Support bartenders, servers, hosts, and support staff during high-volume periods Lead pre-shift meetings and communicate daily priorities Partner closely with culinary leadership to maintain strong FOH/BOH communication Help manage scheduling, staffing levels, and labor based on business needs Assist with inventory, ordering, cost controls, and operational organization Support private events, large parties, promotions, and special programming Ensure compliance with Virginia ABC regulations, food safety requirements, and company standards Understand sales, labor, costs, and how daily decisions impact the business Step in wherever needed to help the team succeed Who We're Looking For You may be a great fit if you: Have restaurant, brewery, bar, venue, or high-volume hospitality management experience Have at least 3 year of supervisory or management experience Love hospitality and genuinely enjoy interacting with guests Know how to coach people — not just manage a shift Stay calm and solution-focused when things get busy Can hold a team accountable while still building a positive culture Understand scheduling, labor, inventory, and basic restaurant financials Communicate well with both FOH and BOH teams Are organized, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership Aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves and work alongside your team What Success Looks Like Here Our strongest managers don't spend the entire shift in the office. They're on the floor. They're talking to guests. They're coaching employees. They're communicating with the kitchen. They're anticipating problems before they become problems. And when the building gets busy, they're right there with the team. Most importantly, they understand that hospitality isn't just completing a transaction — it's creating an experience that makes someone want to come back. Experience & Education Previous high-volume restaurant, brewery, bar, entertainment, or hospitality leadership experience is strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree, three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Schedule This is a full-time management position. Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs is required. Ready for a New Realm?
