Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Picker/Packer and become a vital part of our fast-paced distribution operation! In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing products for shipment, ensuring that every order is fulfilled efficiently and with precision. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help us deliver exceptional service to our customers. Duties Use order picker equipment, barcode scanners, RF (radio frequency) systems, and manual handling tools to accurately select items based on order specifications. Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely to load and unload goods. Pack products securely using appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transit while maintaining efficiency. Manage inventory through warehouse management systems (WMS), ensuring stock levels are accurate and properly documented. Conduct quality control checks during picking and packing processes to verify order accuracy and product integrity. Follow safety protocols diligently by using personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to warehouse safety guidelines during all operations. Assist with shipping & receiving tasks, including unloading shipments, stocking shelves, and preparing orders for dispatch in a timely manner. Skills Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management practices. Ability to perform order fulfillment with accuracy using barcode scanning technology for logistics tracking. Skilled in manual handling techniques including heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards. Excellent organizational skills with a focus on quality control and attention to detail in packing and order picking. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities during inventory management tasks. Knowledge of safety protocols related to warehouse operations, including proper PPE use and heavy equipment operation.
