Job Description

SUMMARY:
Manually packages materials and products, accomplishes product finishing, and assists press operator by performing the following duties:
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to read and comprehend work order instructions. Set up shrink wrap, ability to change plastic as needed. Assemble cartons; obtain and sort product if needed. Wrap protective material around product when required. Insert product into boxes according to quantity specification. Ability to set up all labeling tools properly. Label containers, container tags, or products using labeling tool. Work in reroll/finishing area when required. Monitor label quality during production and/or packaging. Inspect materials, products, and containers at each step of packaging process. Helps press operators with clean up and prepress. Sweep the floor and perform other duties to maintain a clean work area. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Perform work safely and participate in any and all safety programs instituted by the company.

Education And/Or Experience :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Skills And Abilities:
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English in order to communicate effectively with co-workers, and to follow instructions. The ability to focus on objects, have good vision and be able to differentiate colors as determined by color blindness testing. Strong mechanical aptitude needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

At a minimum, the individual must be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds and over 50 lbs with mechanical devices.
