Louis Wieland Position Summary:
As a Benthic Sample Picker you will be processing samples that were collected from rivers and streams around the state. You will be looking through the samples and picking out macroinvertebrates. Washing glassware, working with data, cleaning and other lab duties may also be a part of this job. Training will be done when you start the position. Payrate is $12/hour. Work up to 20 hours per week. Once you are trained in you will be able to come in to work in the evenings and weekends. Responsibilities/Expectations:
Maintain confidentiality. Performs other duties as required or assigned pertinent to the position. Must be a positive role model on and off the job. Must know and abide by all University rules and regulations. Must maintain a positive attitude toward the position.
Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Be a full-time undergraduate student (basic). Self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised.
TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED
Skill in observing situations. Ability to work and make decisions with minimal supervision. Good interpersonal skills and desire to be a team player. Experience with customer service- common courtesy in working with students, employees, and the public. Good organization and time management skills.
