St. Vincent DePaul is looking for ambitious and hardworking individuals to add to our team. We have full-time work available as a clothing sorter or warehouse support! Candidate must have great attention to detail, have the physical ability to work hard and efficiently in a warehouse setting. This is a Temporary Full Time (up to 90 days) position.
SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to work full-time Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM and occasional Saturdays
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF CLOTHING SORTER
Sort multiple clothing containers and keep track of number counts of clothing at the same time Ability to sort and hang 500 garments a day Sort and hang clothing in a fast and productive manner into various grades, sizes, and styles Proficiently and correctly check clothing items for defects Move and distribute clothing items to the proper location, rack, and tag bins Ability to bend, push, pull, and move rolling carts full of clothing weighing up to 35 lbs. Ability to stand, and repetitively move the upper body, and arms for 8 hours Use pallet jacks and tagging guns Clean restrooms on a rotating schedule Maintain a clean work station This list is not all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Self-motivated, organized and ability to work as part of a team Ability to work in a fast paced production/warehouse environment Strong verbal communication skills Ability to stand for 8 hours Able to push and pull up to 35 lbs. Pallet Jack experience or the ability to learn how to use one
