POSITION OVERVIEW

Element Preservation turns once-in-a-lifetime florals into lasting works of art. We accept bouquets from clients across the country and are in search of creative, engaging, and hardworking individuals to join our growing team. The Product Intake Specialist must be capable of working independently, be self-sufficient, able to solve problems, be meticulously organized, and be a clean yet efficient worker. This position requires individuals to move quickly without losing sight of quality, safety, or cleanliness. This is a physically demanding role and the Product Intake Specialist must be comfortable with the following: Ability to frequently lift, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 50 lbs, and may weigh up to 70 lbs Ability to stand for 75%+ of every shift Work in an environment with noise and temperature fluctuations Receive and unload shipments from suppliers, verifying order accuracy Move and unload pallet shipments Paid training is provided but, after training, Team Members are expected to meet output goals, achieving KPIs for both efficiency and quality while ensuring that the orders are handled on time and with impeccable attention to detail. This position requires hand dexterity, the ability to stand for 50%+ of each shift, lift 25-50 lbs, and work in an environment with noise and temperature fluctuations, as our warehouse temperature closely reflects the outside weather. This position requires working with both fresh and dried flowers and is not suitable for individuals with allergies/sensitivities to pollen, bees, or other natural elements often encountered with flowers. Working with perishable products, you may come in contact with natural elements such as; decaying blooms. Must be comfortable following safety procedures/protocols.( I.e. gloves, masks, closed toed shoes, etc.) Given the nature of our business, team members will be expected to learn quickly and reach expected performance goals. Hours are subject to increase/decrease with business needs and performance. We believe in a respectful and inclusive workplace. Key Responsibilities Intake and Packaging Assist in unboxing incoming bouquets, pressing flowers, and other tasks around the shop/warehouse, as needed Gather client products to fulfill orders, ensuring all items are correct and accounted for Utilize order management system to review order information, document updates, and verify all items are accounted for Photograph completed products for documentation of work and for creative use (social media, website, print marketing materials, etc) Follow company packaging procedures and exercise care to elegantly and securely wrap products for safe transit to clients Assemble boxes and move finished packed boxes to outgoing shipment area for UPS pick-up Properly record inventory quantities following inventory schedule to ensure all materials are available when needed Move and restock supplies in the warehouse Put away any tools, bins, or other items used during shift and ensure workspace is clean and tidy Other duties as assigned Warehouse Accept deliveries and verify accuracy of shipment contents Unload pallets and shipments, and distribute to applicable departments or inventory storage locations Update inventory tracking records and maintain accurate inventory counts at all times Maintain an orderly system for all moving parts within the warehouse, ensuring a clean and organized space Move inventory and supplies throughout warehouse Clean up and remove shipping containers, pallets, and waste Work closely with Production Manager on day to day operations and overall warehouse management strategy Other duties as assigned
