Build and formalize a non-production purchasing program covering areas such as facilities, capital equipment, professional services, and other indirect spend. Improve organizational visibility and control over purchasing through approved vendor programs, spend analysis, and procurement processes. Own key supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance, quality, delivery, cost, and risk. Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, terms and conditions, long-term supply agreements, NDAs, and related agreements. Ensure applicable customer requirements are appropriately incorporated into supplier agreements. Develop and negotiate safety-stock agreements to support customer requirements and on-time delivery. Partner with Finance to address excess and obsolete inventory, including supplier-side resolution, reserves, and write-offs. Serve as a key procurement contact during AS9100 and

Introduce and expand modern procurement practices, including spend analytics, supplier scorecards, Power BI reporting, and AI-assisted procurement tools. Identify and deliver measurable cost savings while appropriately distinguishing between realized savings and cost avoidance. Travel domestically and internationally as needed for supplier visits, audits, relationship management, and negotiations. Qualifications 10+ years of progressive purchasing, procurement, or strategic sourcing experience within a manufacturing environment. 5+ years of experience leading, coaching, and developing buyers or sourcing professionals. Demonstrated hands-on experience sourcing metals, castings, machined components, electro-mechanical components, and outside processing services such as heat treating, anodizing, and passivation. Experience managing both direct and indirect procurement strongly preferred. Strong supplier negotiation, relationship management, and strategic sourcing experience. Working knowledge of supplier contracts and experience negotiating terms and conditions, supply agreements, NDAs, and related agreements. Experience managing supplier performance, quality, cost, delivery, and supply-chain risk. Familiarity with
AS9100, ISO
9001, and DFARS requirements within a manufacturing environment. Experience working with ERP systems such as Dynamics 365 F&O, Dynamics AX, SAP, Oracle, or similar; Dynamics 365 F&O experience is a plus. Experience with spend analytics, supplier scorecards, Power BI, or similar procurement reporting tools is preferred. CPSM, CPIM, or CPM certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification. Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on procurement responsibilities. What Success Looks Like The successful Procurement Manager will bring previously unmanaged spend under formal purchasing oversight, establish greater visibility into supplier risk and performance, strengthen supplier agreements and compliance, and drive measurable cost improvements. This individual will also play an important role in modernizing the procurement function by introducing stronger analytics, supplier management tools, sourcing processes, and controls. Why This Opportunity? This is an opportunity to do more than simply manage an existing purchasing operation. The Procurement Manager will have the ability to build and shape the procurement function, establish new processes, and directly influence the organizations sourcing and supply-chain strategy. The position offers significant growth potential and direct visibility with senior operations leadership, reporting to the VP of Operations. The organization manufactures highly engineered precision components used in demanding applications across robotics, aerospace, semiconductor, and medical technology, providing the opportunity to work within a sophisticated and technically advanced manufacturing environment. If you are an experienced procurement leader who combines strategic sourcing expertise with a hands-on manufacturing background, Schulte Staffing Solutions wants to hear from you. Apply today!
