Job Description
Company Overview Vitalpax is a family-owned private label supplement manufacturer based in southern Utah, dedicated to providing premium quality nutritional products. Since our establishment in 2014, we have focused on delivering scientifically backed supplements tailored to meet the needs of our customers and their markets. Position Summary Vitalpax is seeking an experienced and highly organized Manager of Procurement & Sourcing to lead our purchasing and sourcing activities and support the continued growth of our manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for overseeing the procurement of raw materials, ingredients, components, and production supplies while developing strong supplier relationships, managing purchasing processes, and supporting cost-effective sourcing decisions. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and problem solver who can manage competing priorities, build productive vendor relationships, and work collaboratively with R&D, Production, Quality, Accounting, Sales, and Warehouse teams. Key Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end procurement process to support timely and cost-effective purchasing of raw materials, ingredients, components, and production and warehouse supplies. Lead and support Purchasing Agent(s) and Document Specialist(s) involved in sourcing, purchasing, and vendor documentation. Collaborate with R&D, Sales, and Quality teams on sourcing needs for product development, samples, customer quotes, and new product introductions. Manage supplier selection, pricing analysis, negotiations, lead times, and purchasing decisions. Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships, including supplier performance evaluation and sourcing strategy. Maintain accurate material pricing information to support budgeting, forecasting, and quoting. Monitor purchasing and inventory practices to help maintain appropriate inventory levels and reduce excess or obsolete materials. Maintain and improve purchase order tracking and procurement procedures using internal company systems. Coordinate purchasing activities across R&D, Production, Accounting, Quality, and Warehouse teams. Oversee vendor documentation workflows, including certifications, product approvals, and regulatory documentation. Identify opportunities for cost savings and improvements to purchasing and sourcing processes. Qualifications & Skills Experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, supply chain, or a related field. Strong understanding of vendor sourcing, pricing, lead times, cost analysis, and supplier negotiations. Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly when addressing supply shortages, vendor challenges, and changing production needs. Ability to remain professional and organized when working through urgent needs, supplier delays, and shifting priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build effective working relationships across multiple departments and organizational levels. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams. Experience with ERP/MRP or purchasing software preferred. Experience in food, dietary supplement, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
