The Role Belmont CC is seeking a committed and effective leader to join our Senior Leadership Team in the role of Program Coordinator
  • Vocational Education and Training (VET).
The successful applicant should be an educational leader who is dynamic, strategic, innovative and proactive. They should have the capacity to develop effective programs and management processes where evidence-based decision making will be regular practice. We are ideally seeking someone who has an excellent understanding of Vocational Education and Training in the secondary school context and the capacity to seek and develop partnerships with business and other organisations with the aim of creating further opportunities for our students. The ability to deliver Certificate 3 Sport and Recreation is highly desirable. The successful applicant may have the following responsibilities Assists the school in the development and establishment of quality and innovative VET coordinates and develops the operations of VET/Workplace Learning (WPL) programs from end-to end, including student selection, induction, auspicing arrangements and sourcing appropriate industry placements, activities for students and conducting site checks and meetings with prospective employers collaborates with Registered Training Organisations (RTO) in developing partnership agreements and ensures compliance with Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) legislation and keeps abreast of VET related industry changes coordinates and initiates VET/WPL related professional development for college staff, including AQTF, continuous improvement and skills matrices facilitates and maintains the integrity and currency of VET/WPL plans, documentation and workplace management plans provides career information and guidance to students promotes apprenticeship and traineeship pathways e.g., School Apprenticeship Links (SAL) program and School Based Traineeships has a teaching load of up to 0.4FTE.
