Extended Care Director:

This position is part-time, Monday through Friday. We are looking for an energetic, passionate, and dedicated staff member who truly wants to make a difference in the lives of students, uphold the mission of the school, and be an active participant in this rewarding ministry of Catholic education in the Diocese of Oakland.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for the safety and well-being of the children in Extended Care by providing careful and concentrated supervision of the children's activities such as homework, arts and crafts, recreation, and outside play. With the help of the Principal, develops and enforces policies and procedures that guide the day-to-day operation of the Extended Care Program. Directs all planning of program curriculum. Administers first aid to children when necessary. Maintains confidentiality with parents and children. Supervise employees and/or volunteers to work in the Extended Care Program as needed. Collaborates with the Principal on the preparation of the annual Extended Care Program budget. Maintains current and accurate bookkeeping for extended care services in collaboration with the financial operations manager, including accounting procedures for the billing of extended care fees. Purchases and maintains supplies for the Extended Care Program including food, equipment, and other necessary materials. Oversees the weekly menu for snacks and provides food service. Maintains a clean, safe and orderly environment. Attends all meetings and training sessions when appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or prior experience working in a school setting is preferred

$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
