Full Job Description Position Summary:
VPL will lead vegetation management operations and outside contractor work performance. Business conduct must occur in accordance with OMS policies and procedures and be aligned with the goals of OMS.
Essential Functions:
  • Works independently to solve moderate to highly complex problems and takes new perspectives on existing solutions, plans, and goals.
  • Leads project teams to complete required tasks.
  • Performs lead duties for emergency response in accordance with all safety requirements, laws, and regulations, and applicable labor agreements.
  • Supports operations and work on process improvement initiatives, schedule, and coordination of VM activities.
  • Assists with difficult customers at the direction of the Program Manager (customer complaints, refusals, difficult access, agencies).
  • At the direction of the Client Representative clarify expectations and program direction for contractor employees.
  • Assists with monitoring the progress and status of pre-inspection and tree work completion.
  • Assists with agency meetings and field visits to review VM work as directed by the Client Program Manager.
  • Assists with management of projects - routine and non-routine.
  • Assists in management of the contract review process.
  • Acknowledge and participate in OMS H&S programs.
  • Duties will include completing H&S training.
  • Other duties as assigned by OMS or the client.
Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience. o Four (4) years of job-related experience with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role, as a team leader or project leader. o Two (2) years of experience in emergency response and/or o Two (2) years of experience in hazard tree removal projects along utility rights of way. o Be familiar with client's vegetation management contractors' work practices, proper arboricultural techniques and practices and other requirements related to line clearances and fire prevention. o Required to maintain a Class C driver's license, including participating in Employer Pull Notice Program (EPN), with DMV. o Must have a clean driving record. o Conduct a background check, clear drug screening, and physical exam. o Approval by Client Representative.

Indoor and outdoor conditions; exposure to heat, cold, potentially hazardous chemicals, toxic materials; work on/walk on slippery or uneven and potentially mountainous terrain. Noise level is usually moderate.

Pay:
$39.00 - $50.00 per hour
