Full-time, exempt Job Overview The Partner Services Coordinator works collaboratively with staff across all departments to assist in the equitable distribution of resources to member nonprofit Agency Partners. This position provides support and resources to Agency Partners to enhance community impact and further the mission of the SLO Food Bank. Additionally, the Partner Services Coordinator helps ensure program compliance while fostering positive relationships with community partners and acts as a liaison on behalf of Agency Partners between internal departments such as Inventory, Procurement, and Distribution departments. A successful Partner Services Coordinator is an approachable, effective communicator who is dedicated to empowering our Agency Partner network to serve the community effectively. Principle Duties & Responsibilities Program Support Coordinates with Partner Services Manager, Inventory & Receiving, Procurement, and Community Services departments to support the successful and sustainable administration of the SLO Food Bank's Partner Services program and No-Cook Bags for People Experiencing Homelessness program. Work with program staff to facilitate the efficient use of Food Bank resources. Ensure adherence to program requirements and best practices. Collaborate with the entire Operations team to assist in organizing and streamlining internal systems of communication and logistics. Provide backup support during periods of peak workload demands. Assist operations staff in developing or expanding new programs and/or sites in response to community needs. Conduct site reviews and surveys to ensure compliance with program guidelines and assess program impact. Assist in facilitating training opportunities for Agency Partner staff and volunteers. Provides assistance as needed at sites in the field. Support special projects and temporary efforts that align with the mission of the Food Bank and benefit the community. Administrative Support Handle administrative tasks and communication associated with tracking data for grants, surveys, and program evaluation. Collect, organize, and file completed paperwork from program sites. Attend meetings with community groups aligned with the Food Bank's mission to promote Food Bank resources, share information, and foster collaborations that benefit Food Bank clients. Assist with the preparation of reports, outreach materials, program materials, and presentations. Assist with the implementation of communications campaigns for services beneficial to Food Bank clients. Qualifications Passion for SLO Food Bank's Mission. Strong desire to compassionately serve struggling members of our community. Demonstrated proficiency at teamwork and collaboration. Ability to work both in a team setting and to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and to solve problems independently. Comfortable with onsite training for forklift, motorized pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment. Ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail; ability to handle interruptions, maintain focus on tasks and produce accurate work. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong cultural competence:
ability to build positive relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders including donors, volunteers for faith-based, grassroots organizations and residents seeking emergency food assistance. Bachelor's or associate degree, bachelor's preferred. Background in program coordination and project management. Experience working with volunteers of all ages from diverse socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds. Bilingual Spanish-speaking and -writing skills are desired but not required. Great computer skills, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience in Canva and Wordpress is also valuable. Knowledge of food safety issues, with eventual ServSafe certification. Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must possess:
High school diploma or equivalent. Must possess a valid Driver's License, clean driving record, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation. Must be willing to travel throughout San Luis Obispo County. Customer service experience.
Salary and Benefits:
Starting salary of $23.00-26.00 per hour depending on qualifications. 10 paid holidays per year. 12 paid vacation days per year (vacation accrual escalates based on years of service as detailed in the Employee Handbook). 80 hours of paid sick leave per year. Eligible for employer-subsidized healthcare benefits. Eligible for participation in optional 401k plan, with employer matching 50% of employee's annual contribution up to a total organizational match of 3% of annual salary. Work Conditions and Physical Demands:
This position is based out of the SLO Food Bank's offices at 1180 Kendall Road, San Luis Obispo, CA, and works alongside a dedicated group of approximately 37 staff and 1,500 volunteers. The position will require the ability to: Stand for extended periods of time See details at close range (within a few feet of the observer) Lift, carry, and load up to 50 pounds on a daily basis Bend, stoop, climb, and crouch repeatedly throughout the day Stand, walk, and kneel Variable work environment: Work is conducted both indoors and outdoors with varying environmental conditions in various locations. Indoor facilities are kept at cold temperature, so warm clothing is required. Noise level varies from quiet office environment to very noisy warehouse. Exhaust and dust may be present in the warehouse receiving area.
