Job Description

Hobbs Pharmacy | Merritt Island, Florida Part-Time or Full-Time | Patient Care + Program Development Starting at $17/hr Help us build what community pharmacy can become. Hobbs Pharmacy is looking for a motivated, creative health professional to join our growing clinical and compounding team. This is not a traditional pharmacy position. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with patients and loves the idea of helping build new health and wellness programs from the ground up. The right person may have experience in health coaching, nutrition, exercise science, wellness, nursing, pharmacy, public health, athletic training, or another health-related field. More important than a specific degree is the ability to connect with patients, understand health behavior, stay organized, and turn ideas into programs that actually work. What You'll Do You will work alongside our pharmacists and compounding team to help develop and deliver patient-centered wellness services.
Your role may include:
Conducting health and wellness coaching and patient follow-up Helping patients set realistic goals around nutrition, movement, sleep, recovery, weight management, and healthy aging Supporting patients participating in pharmacy wellness programs Assisting with body-composition scanning, measurements, progress tracking, and patient education Developing new clinical and wellness programs, including patient workflows, educational materials, follow-up systems, and outcomes tracking Helping identify opportunities to expand services in areas such as metabolic health, healthy aging, women's health, sports and performance, and medication-related wellness Creating patient education materials, handouts, classes, challenges, and community programs Helping our team evaluate what's working and continually improve our programs Compounding & Pharmacy Support Depending on your background and training, this position may also assist our compounding department with non-pharmacist functions such as patient intake, refill coordination, follow-up, provider resources, program organization, and other workflow support. Who We're Looking For We would love to meet someone who is: A people person. You can make patients feel comfortable talking about their health and goals. A builder. You don't just want to follow a program, you get excited about helping create one. Organized. You can help turn a good idea into an actual workflow that our pharmacy team can consistently deliver. Comfortable with technology. You can learn new platforms, track patient outcomes, communicate electronically, and help us improve how we deliver services. A team player. You understand that great patient care often requires pharmacists, physicians, dietitians, coaches, therapists, and other professionals working together. Backgrounds That Could Be a Great Fit We are open to different professional backgrounds, including health or wellness coaching, exercise physiology/kinesiology, nutrition, nursing, pharmacy technician experience, public health, athletic training, health sciences, or similar fields. Certifications such as NBC-HWC, ACSM, ACE, NASM, NSCA, health coaching, nutrition coaching, or similar credentials are a plus but not necessarily required. Experience in an independent pharmacy, compounding pharmacy, wellness clinic, medical practice, fitness setting, or patient-facing healthcare environment would also be valuable. Why Hobbs Pharmacy? Hobbs Pharmacy has served the Merritt Island community since 1964, but we believe independent pharmacy's future is much bigger than dispensing prescriptions. We are continuing to grow our compounding and clinical services while developing new ways for pharmacists and other health professionals to support patients between traditional medical visits. This position will have the opportunity not simply to step into an established program, but to help us create what comes next.
