Mileage Reimbursement Position Summary:
KHEDF is seeking a motivated, community-oriented Program Coordinator to support high school and college students in Southwest Kansas as they pursue their educational goals. This part-time position will play a key role in guiding students through scholarship applications, coordinating college and career readiness programming, and building relationships with local schools, colleges, community centers, and partners in the region.
A Typical Day May Include:
Student Support & Scholarship Guidance Support high school and college students through the KHEDF scholarship application process. Provide one-on-one guidance to students navigating college readiness and career readiness steps. Maintain accurate participant records, applications, and follow-up feedback. Program Coordination Support the scheduling and delivery of college readiness, career readiness, and workshop programming in partnership with local organizations and educational institutions. Assist with outreach and participant recruitment. Track attendance, progress, and participant outcomes for reporting purposes. Community Engagement & Relationship Building Serve as a local KHEDF representative in the southwest region. Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, schools, and partner organizations. Identify opportunities for collaboration and local support to expand educational impact for KHEDF Scholars. Reporting & Communication Submit regular updates and data to KHEDF leadership. Share success stories and photos for reports and social media (with permission). Assist with evaluation activities, including surveys and feedback collection. What You Will Need to be
Successful:
Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently. Experience working with diverse communities, preferably Hispanic or rural populations. Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with common office and virtual collaboration tools. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (required for regional travel). Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.

Background in education, nonprofit programs, or community engagement. Experience in event coordination, outreach, or student advising.
